Academic Probation Status Notification
An academic hold should be added to the student record to send academic status notifications to students automatically. You can use the PERC screen to add those holds.
List of the available restriction codes:
- ADA: Academic dismissal with appeal.
- ADNA: Academic dismissal with no appeal.
- APA: Automatic academic probation without Enrichment class is required. ✍
- APAE: Automatic academic probation with Enrichment class required. ✍
- APR: Reinstatement without Enrichment class required. ✍
- APRE: Reinstatement with Enrichment class required. ✍
- APV: Voted probation without Enrichment class and Southern Connections classes required. ✍
- APVE: Voted probation with Enrichment class and Southern Connections classes required. ✍
- APVC: Voted academic probation commendation.
- APVCC: Voted academic probation; career counseling recommended.
✍ Requires signing a document. The link for electronic signing will be sent along with the email notification.
The Start Date is the date on which to send the notification. Today's date has to be greater or equal than the Start Date.
The End Date is optional.
The Notify field should be set to "Yes".
Notes:
- [Optional] The term code could be added to the comments for the letters that display the term name. For example, to display "Fall Semester," add "F24" to the comments field.
- [Required for the ADA code] The appeal deadline will be calculated from the hold start date based on the term code. For this code, the term code in the comments is required to get an accurate deadline date. The following are the business days added to the start date based on the term: Fall = 7 days, Winter and Summer 21 days. The system will add 7 days to the start date if the term code is unavailable.
