If you know the name of the program you wish to make a shortcut to;
1. Press the windows key on your keyboard OR click on the start menu icon
2. Search for the name of the program you would like to make a shortcut to
4. *If you want the shortcut in your taskbar (the bar at the bottom of the screen), select "Pin to taskbar"
- Recommended if you use the program often
*If you want to see the snipping tool whenever you open the start menu, select "Pin to start"
- Recommended if you use the program less often, but still often enough to want an easy-to-access shortcut
*If you want a shortcut on your desktop select "open file location"
>Your program should be highlighted, so right-click on it, go down to the "send to" drop-down menu, and select "Desktop (create shortcut)"
